About KexCut

KexCut is a free green-screen video background remover that runs entirely in your browser. Upload a video shot on a green or blue screen, pick the key color with the eyedropper, fine-tune tolerance, edge softness and spill reduction, and download the result — as a WebM video or a transparent PNG still.

Honest about the method

Many "AI background remover" tools upload your footage to a server farm and charge you per minute. KexCut does something older, faster and fully private: chroma keying — the same technique film and TV have used for decades. It keys out green/blue screen backgrounds with per-pixel precision, live, on your own device.

What that means in practice:

• ✅ Works beautifully on green/blue-screen footage.
• ❌ Does not magically segment arbitrary backgrounds — any tool doing that in a browser tab is uploading your video.
• ✅ No sign-up, no watermark, no clip-length paywall, no 360p limit.
• ✅ Your video never leaves your device. There is no server to leak it.
